Lesson 16: Ascension of Christ
Sunday April 25, Last Class
Overview of Jesus Life: Compile a collection of all the Sunday school picture materials and crafts used for all the lessons. This is also the lesson about the Ascension of Christ 40 days after the resurrection.
Acts 1: 9-11
9After he said this, he was taken up before their very eyes, and a cloud hid him from their sight. 10They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. 11"Men of Galilee," they said, "why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven."
CRAFT TIME:
Jesus lifts off to heaven. Colour a graphic of earth, paste on black paper. Cut a graphic of Jesus, pulling up from a string (punch holes in the back).

Review all the stories from the Life of Jesus
It was really neat to hear Maggie re tell the story about Jesus calming the storm. "If you're afraid of the wind and the thunder, just ask Jesus, please save me!" She said this in a very strong and clear voice. I also heard from Simon's parents that he was overhead telling the story about Jesus walking on water, to his toys.
CRAFT TIME #2
Read the Jellybean Poem and let the kids create a bracelet using all the "wordless book" colours.
Black, red, white, yellow (gold), and green.
